Azerbaijan: from personality cult to split personality

Azerbaijani media are so enthusiastic with building of Jr. Aliev and Sr. Aliev’s Cult of Personality that sometimes just go too far. It seems editors have been briefed to mention Azerbaijani leaders under special plan. Today Bakililar Agency issued news on Ilham Aliev’s travel to Moscow. 

The news’s header and contents imply that something like split personality has happened to Ilham Aliev as the header says ‘Azerbaijan’s President to leave for Russia’ while the content tells ‘Ilham Aliev is visiting Moscow at the invitation of Ilham Aliev’. Well, let’s hope neither Ilham Aliev will meet Ilham Aliev at the Moscow airport.
